Maximum capacity, lower costs
energy management
With an energy management system (EMS), property owners can respond to grid congestion, fluctuating energy prices and stricter sustainability targets.
EMS expert Van den Pol installs hardware and software that collects and monitors all relevant data. Based on this, energy management ensures a smart interplay between consumption, generation and storage of energy, tailored to the available grid capacity.
Solar panels, batteries, charging stations and other components are automatically controlled based on predetermined values. In case of negative prices or overload, panels switch off. Charging plazas or heat pumps are allocated additional capacity when there is excess solar energy capacity. At high energy prices, power is actually limited.
This way, buildings remain within the energy connection limits without compromising on comfort, continuity and sustainable ambitions.
The energy management systems that Van den Pol installs are brand-independent and flexible. They can be expanded immediately or later with a battery system.

Energy management in practice
Parel in de polder
At Parel in de Polder, the EMS limits the return and adjusts the charging speed of electric vehicles during peak loads. The user of this wooden office building remains within the limits of their grid connection, without compromising their business operations.
Utrecht central plaza
At Utrecht Central Plaza, integrated energy management enables successful redevelopment. The EMS acts as a spider in the web, controlling various assets in this office complex: solar panels, battery storage, heat pumps, and an emergency power generator.
Watersportcentrum Marnemoende
With an EMS and a battery system, the Marnemoende water sports centre uses much more of its own generated solar energy. When batteries are full, inverters automatically regulate back and prevent back-feeding.
