Maintenance and sustainability of lighting

Better light, lower costs

Quality boost and savings

The activities of GRB Verlichting are fully integrated within Van den Pol. Sustainability and maintenance of lighting are therefore in expert hands.

Decades of experience at thousands of locations form the basis for specialist advice on light intensity and colour, but also on the impact of lighting on appearance and experience. Van den Pol knows better than anyone how to ensure good lighting in workplaces, how important colour assessment is in fashion and how essential lighting can be in healthcare.

Sounding names

Van den Pol realises, maintains and replaces lighting in offices, logistics and production centres, supermarkets, shops, healthcare complexes, schools, industrial buildings and residential complexes.

Clients are:

  • End users
  • Administrators
  • Investors
  • Housing associations
  • Homeowners’ Associations

Among them are many well-known names: AH, Etos, Dirk, Hema, Bouwinvest, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Merin, VvE Metea, Cazas Wonen and St. Antonius Hospitals.

No maintenance worries

Van den Pol specializes in planned periodic maintenance and timely replacement of luminaires, including upgrading emergency lighting.

Triggers for sustainability

With LED lighting, a quality boost goes hand in hand with savings on energy consumption and maintenance costs. In addition, there are three current triggers for sustainable lighting:

  • The legal obligation to implement energy-saving measures with a payback period of five years or less. Replacing conventional luminaires with LED falls under these so-called Approved Measures.
  • TL and PL luminaires are being phased out and are (almost) no longer available. In case of failure, no replacement is possible. This makes the switch to LED lighting necessary in the short term.
  • Grid congestion limits power capacity. Economical LED lighting creates space in the energy connection for further sustainability. LED also helps to stay below the contracted capacity.

Attractive business case

Van den Pol bases lighting sustainability on a careful calculation of investments and savings. The low energy consumption and long lifespan of LED provide an attractive business case.

Maximum economy with smart sensors

Van den Pol installs luminaires with smart sensors so that lights never burn unnecessarily. This makes lighting maximally energy efficient and increases user comfort.

Sustainability without inconvenience

Van den Pol is used to making lighting more sustainable and replacing it when buildings are in operation. Whether it is an office, school, supermarket or healthcare institution, we do our work without causing any inconvenience. Accurate planning and experienced technicians ensure that processes continue unhindered.

No place too crazy

Replacing a spotlight at a height of twenty metres, optimal lighting for a veterinary clinic or enormous luminaires in an entrance hall: Van den Pol ensures better light and lower costs at every location.

Demonstrably sustainable for BREEAM

Energy-efficient lighting is important for the BREEAM score. Van den Pol is certified for light measurements that demonstrate this sustainable lighting.

Sustainable solutions through thorough preparation

Van den Pol commissions all systems itself
