Van den Pol Elektrotechniek is a permanent co-maker of ERA Contour. “At SAWA, we are responsible for all E-facilities in the apartments and common areas,” says business unit leader of Residential Construction Bob Oostendorp. “This also includes the sensor-controlled lighting, fire alarm system and emergency lighting. We are also responsible for the smart charging facilities and the PV system.”
Wood is an innovative construction system. “That presents us with all sorts of challenges, both in the preliminary phase and during implementation. That is why it is a great advantage – in fact even a condition – that this project is realised by partners who know each other well.”
A mock-up provided detailed insight into the building and the installations in advance. “The recesses had to be determined early in the process; they affect the construction. All pipes through floors are provided with membranes and are thus sealed airtight. Furthermore, there are specific requirements regarding fire safety.”
SMART SOLUTIONS
Approval of new construction techniques takes time. “That is why we are fully committed to smart solutions that shorten the lead time. A good example are the 727 wireless switches, for Van den Pol the standard for every project. They are delivered pre-programmed so that we can soon speed up on the construction site.
