Parel in de polder for de vries en verburg
New construction is special for every builder.
Especially if the building is made entirely of wood, and is therefore a sustainable calling card. From the existing office of De Vries en Verburg, everyone kept a close eye on progress. “Colleagues found us with their comments.” As a trusted partner, Van den Pol Elektrotechniek provided the electrical installations, lighting, fire alarms,
data and security installation, charging stations and PV panels
Construction company De Vries en Verburg wants to make even better use of its Stolwijk headquarters’ function as a meeting place. Together with the growth, this was the reason for an expansion: Pearl in the Polder.
“Building your own building is by definition special,” says Mark de Mik, project manager on behalf of De Vries en Verburg. All responsibility lies with one person; you’re the designer, builder, and user. And because you know the user inside and out, you make well-considered choices.
Sustainability is an important starting point for De Vries and Verburg. “It’s in our genes,” says Timo Stuij, plan developer for the new building. “Timber construction was not a goal in itself, but stems from the objective of limiting CO2 emissions as much as possible.”
Electrical installations, lighting, fire alarm, data and security systems, charging stations and PV panels were installed by Van den Pol Elektrotechniek. “We were looking for partners who could really help us, with solicited and unsolicited advice,” says De Mik. “Van den Pol finds a good balance between courage and common sense, with a skilled team that really feels ownership of the project.”
