OurDomain in Amsterdam-Zuidoost comprises 1,550 homes for students, young people and starters.

The project consists of three buildings, a parking garage and a public courtyard. Van den Pol is responsible for the electrical and security installations in the main building and provides the roofs with solar panels.

We installed a redundant fiber optic network for the data and security installations of the entire complex. The cameras and fire alarm control panels, among other things, are connected to this network to form a single manageable installation. All entrances and locations where people gather are equipped with cameras. These have a preventive effect when it comes to vandalism or unwanted behavior. Images can be viewed 24/7. The software offers numerous possibilities. For example, a pop-up on the screen immediately provides extra attention when a door opens somewhere. Images are saved and can be viewed later. The Eocortex system is scalable. Functions can be added later if desired. For example, consider sound detection, license plate, facial and person recognition.

A counting system can be used to record how many people are in a particular place. A warning will automatically be issued if the number of people within an area exceeds the specified limit. A valuable feature, especially during the corona period.
