NS Kiosk
Strong at stations together with Temmink
Familiar territory
NS Stations calls its working area a railway environment. This is familiar territory for Temmink Bouwprojecten and Van den Pol. This experience is a great advantage because in a railway environment, safety, accessibility and logistics require special attention.
“Van den Pol works carefully, just like us, keeps to agreements and is flexible,” says Marcel Peters, director of Temming Bouwprojecten. “We ensure that the Living Rooms at larger stations have a uniform appearance after a facelift. Kiosks involve both new construction and conversions. We are also working with Van den Pol on an expansion of Bar Beton at Utrecht Central Station.”
Joint experience
With a new kiosk, everyone involved knows exactly what to expect. “With detailed planning, the construction partners form a train, six weeks later there is a brand new kiosk,” says Bert Heutink, project leader at Temmink Bouwprojecten. Thanks to their joint experience, both companies know exactly what they can gain from each other. “Engineers help each other and make each other’s work easier. It is also important that Van den Pol and W partner BLR-Bimon regularly work together elsewhere. They need half a word among themselves and that also helps us.”
We’re in this toghether
The following NS projects are in preparation, including at Ede-Wageningen station. “But we also use Van den Pol at a Nedtrain factory hall in Haarlem where offices are being built,” says Peters. “The starting point for this registration was: we do the assignment and so do they. So, together, out, together at home, on the basis of mutual trust.”
