Due to growth, Groenendijk Bedrijfskleding was looking for larger business premises. The choice fell on part of an existing hall complex in Woerden. “We wanted to renovate it as sustainably and circularly as possible,” says director Marien Groenendijk.
“In construction, circularity is still in its infancy,” says project manager Jacco van Leersum (Promad), who supervised the project. “That is why the willingness to experiment together was an important criterion when selecting construction partners.” Van den Pol was selected for electrical engineering, lighting, home automation, sound systems, access control, burglary, CCTV, data network and intercom. “A trusted party that we knew from previous projects.”
The starting point was not to replace old elements as a matter of course, but to reuse them as much as possible. This worked surprisingly often.
