Always a full battery

The charging facilities at ERA Contour’s Zoetermeer head office were no longer sufficient. “There were too few poles to meet the increasing demand. The loading speed left much to be desired and malfunctions occurred quite often,” says office manager Sabine Fortes.

Time for innovation and expansion.

“Van den Pol is a co-maker in our housing projects. Their experience with charging facilities also made them the ideal party for this.” After the expansion, ERA Contour now has thirty smart charging places. More facilities can easily be added in the future.

The available energy is automatically distributed among the charging points. “That happens in the background; you don’t notice it. In practice, everyone parks long enough for a full battery. On an LCD screen you can immediately see whether the car is actually charging. You can easily create user passes via the software platform and I can disconnect a stuck cable. A lot of information is also available, including about the average charging time and energy consumption. Van den Pol manages the installation remotely and takes action if necessary.”
