Apartments and houses Palenstein

In the Zoetermeer district of Palenstein, Heembouw is responsible for a sub-project with 67 social rental apartments for housing association Vidomes plus 53 owner-occupied homes. Van den Pol provides the E-facilities and uses its broad expertise, including LED lighting plus motion sensors, a video intercom system, dynamic charging stations and the PV system.

With a lean approach, Heembouw and Van den Pol are also making progress in Palenstein. The new Zoetermeer residential area has a number of wooden houses. It is expected that wood will be used more and more often due to the CO2 and nitrogen problems. The experiences gained at Palenstein will bring both companies further. “In this way, we are also getting better together in timber construction.”

After completion of the first sub-project, the next phase will commence: 84 apartments plus a commercial space. “Van den Pol uses the same teams here. A big advantage. Because although changes cannot always be prevented, you do lose part of the project DNA. That knowledge is now secured.”
