The staff shortage at technical companies remains as high as ever. “Members who are mainly active in residential construction notice that those activities are somewhat stagnant,” says Techniek Nederland chairman Doekle Terpstra. “There is still a shortage in many other submarkets. There is still a shortage of around 20,000 technical professionals.”
More and more installers are starting their own business school. A good thing, says Terpstra, who previously visited Van den Pol – Topklas. “The company goes for the best students.
