Flexible installation keeps all options open
Our expertise was given full scope at an early stage in the Aan het Water project. “Taking the client’s guidelines as a starting point, we determined the installation design together with consultant IMWes. This way, quality and performance are guaranteed. It also gives us an advantage in the realization phase,” says our project leader of the Aan het Water project, Jan van den Brink. Inner-city projects are often characterized by a cramped construction site. “Here too, we are building on a postage stamp, with barely any room for storage. We are now used to dealing with this. Materials and components are delivered just-in-time, in close consultation with suppliers.”
At the Aan het Water project we are responsible for the complete electrical installation, smart LED lighting, alarm, videophone facility, lightning protection, evacuation and fire alarm system. LIST sensor cabling is used in the parking levels. “Temperature sensors accurately indicate where a fire occurs. This thermal detection is preferred over regular smoke detectors in open parking garages. They are very susceptible to failure due to dirt and moisture at these locations.” Van den Pol installs 314 PV-panels on the roofs. Eight double charging stations also contribute to the sustainable profile of this all-electric complex. “The charging facilities are dynamic; the charging speed is automatically adjusted to the available power. Future expansion has been taken into account when dimensioning.”
