A special residential care complex is currently taking shape in the green heart between Zeist and Driebergen: Lievegoed de Wederkerigheid.
De Rederkerigheid is there for people with an intellectual disability as well as for people with an ex-addiction and/or a psychological vulnerability. Living and day care within a close-knit community on a special estate.
On a stamp
Van den Pol Elektrotechniek supports Lievegoed in a broad sense with its electrical installations. “From that role, we are also involved in De Wederkerigheid. The combination of renovation and new construction makes this a special project. And the beautiful surroundings also contribute to that. It is a vast area, but because of the many protected trees, we are building on a postage stamp, just like in busy city centers. Supply and lifting must be done carefully.”
10KV CONNECTION
Even a green location cannot escape the consequences of grid congestion. “Initially, in addition to two existing ones, four new ones were grid connections assigned. Construction had already started when the grid operator unexpectedly withdrew the application. Motivation: officially only one connection per so-called BAG house number is allowed.” A A 10kV connection is possible, whereby the two existing connections are eliminated. “The medium-voltage cable from Stedin is coming in on a transformer installed by us. From there two power supplies to the existing buildings and four to the new building. This means that the desired power is available everywhere.”
INTEGRATED FIRE ALARM SYSTEM
At De Wederkerigheid, Van den Pol is responsible for the complete electrical installation, LED lighting with motion sensors and cabling for the care home automation. “We also integrate the fire alarm system of the existing buildings into a new installation for the entire complex,” says Van Wolfswinkel. Through the wooded area solar panels are barely profitable. “However, there will be wooden lampposts with a battery plus solar cell.
Flexible deployment
The Van den Pol team of fitters is deployed flexibly on new construction and renovation, depending on the construction flows. “We also notice in this project that our experience in healthcare and customer knowledge provide an advantage. For example, the possible behavior of clients was taken into account in the choice of components. Parts are easy to replace.”
