Hybrid energy system is crucial for top gifts
Our complete specialization has been deployed at the Topgeschenken distribution center
As a permanent partner of Heembouw, we are involved in the new distribution center of Topgeschenken. “In the two building sections for which no user is known yet, we have installed the basic installation,” says our work planner Reinier. “At the Topgeschenken distribution center, our full range of expertise was deployed, including not only electrical installations and lighting, but also charging stations, solar panels, data, fire alarms, and a burglar alarm system.”
Energy Square
Due to grid congestion, each building part has a limited energy connection of 80 amps. “In order to be able to supply all processes and installations, we created a hybrid energy system for Topgeschenken,” says project manager John. This energy square consists of a 400 kWh PV system, a 300 kWh battery pack with battery storage and an Energy Management System (EMS). “With this solution, the building is largely self-sufficient in terms of energy. If insufficient power is available, a generator is used.”
Insight into processes and consumption
To determine the implementation of the hybrid energy system, insight into the processes and associated consumption is required. “In consultation with Topgeschenken, W-Partner Vink Installation Technology and the supplier of the cooling facilities, an estimate was made in advance that was as accurate as possible. After the distribution center is commissioned, the EMS continuously measures consumption, incoming power from the grid, and the available capacity of the battery system. The generator’s deployment is adjusted accordingly.
