In January 2004, we consciously started purchasing a fleet of vehicles that was as economical and clean as was economically feasible. Now 20 years later, we said goodbye to the last diesel passenger car last Friday. This year, for the first time in 40 years, there are fewer diesel cars in our company than petrol/LPG/electric cars and half of them are company buses.

Dealing with grid congestion
As a permanent partner of Heembouw, Van den Pol Elektrotechniek is responsible for the basic electrical installation plus lighting at DC Amsterdam West. “Each of the four building parts has its own distribution box with consumption meter and can be used independently,” says project leader John Gielen. “The new building is all-electric and has energy label A++++.
Collaboration and integrated approach limit the consequences of grid congestion
The energy transition is increasingly being delayed by the overloaded power grid. Grid operator Stedin is already calling for a stop to the use of charging stations during the evening peak.
