Bunnik Bouw and Bunnik Projecten have been building quality for fifty years. Often together with Van den Pol Elektrotechniek. This partnership proved to be of great value, even in difficult times. As Timon Bunnik succinctly puts it: “Building is people’s work.”
Bunnik Bouw and Bunnik Projecten were started by Timon Bunnik’s father and an uncle. He now forms the management team together with his brother Vincent. “After first gaining experience elsewhere, I joined the company in 2008. A few months later, the financial crisis broke out and almost all work came to a standstill. That was when we looked with Van den Pol at where opportunities still existed, and how we could continue building together.”
Close bond
The connection between Bunnik and Van den Pol goes back over 30 years. “As a young lad, I went along for the first time to a networking event organized by Van den Pol. I thought that was cool. But our bond goes much further. When my father passed away suddenly, Wim van den Pol was one of the first to sit at the table here: ‘How are you? Can I do anything?’ That stays with you forever.”
Preference for construction team
Over the years, that connection led to collaboration on wonderful projects. These are often executed within a construction team, with Van den Pol as one of the regular E-partners.
Two new projects are in the pipeline: 38 homes in Hof van Harmelen and 65 by Woongaard Entree in Geldermalsen. “The interaction between employees of the construction partners largely determines the quality, progress, and job satisfaction.
A word is enough
Van den Pol deploys teams that have worked with us before. Everyone knows each other, and a half-word is enough. We also like to draw on the specific expertise within Van den Pol. Consider, for example, the trade-off between energy performance, appearance, and buyer preference when installing solar panels.
We want to distinguish ourselves with quality and enjoy building for the high-end segment. If you enter a new neighborhood, I think you will be able to pick out our projects. When I walk through such an area myself later on and see the beautiful things we have built there together with our partners, it makes me proud time and again.
