Bypass grid congestion and save money
collectively monitor power demand
Due to network congestion, it is not certain that a user will get the desired connection. We therefore advise clients who wish to build or expand to first contact the grid operator.
There is insufficient capacity available at Schiphol Trade Park for new and expansion of existing connections. As a Dutch first, Joulz is therefore creating a joint virtual network that, as it were, lies over the existing network.
Grid capacity is determined on the basis of the maximum required energy. But because of their different processes, users do not have the same power needs at the same time. This means that there is often unused space within the connections. That is why all power demand at Schiphol Trade Park is measured in real time
collectively monitored. This makes it clear when the combined energy demand becomes too high. During
peak moments, consumption can be temporarily reduced or absorbed by a battery with sustainable energy. Only if there is not enough green energy available, a gas or diesel generator will be switched on.
This ensures maximum use of the network capacity. Users can also make do with a smaller connection. Participants get the electricity they need and save money. Due to grid congestion, such solutions will be increasingly used on industrial estates. Van den Pol provides support in this regard.
