In Q1 of 2025 we will install a 466kWh battery storage system with a charging/discharging capacity of 200kW at our customer Marnemoende Marina.
The battery storage system is specially designed for storing solar energy. When the sun does not shine, for example at night or on cloudy days, our customer can now rely on the stored solar energy. This not only ensures a continued energy supply, but also reduces dependence on the electricity grid and contributes to lower energy costs.
The client has a solar energy system with a capacity of 243kWp. During the day, from March to September, they supply a lot of energy back to the grid for which they receive a low compensation. By investing in the battery storage system, they avoid having to feed back and are virtually self-sufficient in 6 months of the year. The battery will be controlled using an energy management system. In addition, the battery system is prepared to trade on the dynamic energy market.
