Unique A+++++ showroom along the A12
Sustainability and comfort come together in the new Elektro Internationaal BV business premises.
The new business premises of Elektro Internationaal BV were officially opened last October in the front yard of Woerden, directly on the A12. The 6,000 m² building sets a new standard in terms of sustainability and innovation; thanks to a fully electrically powered building system including 450 solar panels, the building boasts an A+++++ energy label.

The relationship between Elektro Internationaal and Van den Pol Elektrotechniek goes back at least 25 years. With the new construction, the roles were reversed. “It is great to now be able to guide and advise this trusted supplier,” says Jan, Project Manager of our Utilities business unit.
In the complex, we realized the complete electrical facilities, including a fire alarm system, CCTV, intruder alarm, and PV installation, among others.
Innovative LIVELAB
On the roof of the new building stand two solar power installations with identical output: one operating entirely on direct current, the other on alternating current. “Elektro Internationaal’s customers can see, based on real-world data, which solution is optimal for their situation,” says Jan. “Because the technology is constantly evolving, Elektro Internationaal BV waited as long as possible before determining the ideal setup for this innovative Livelab. We gave them complete freedom to do so.”
